RECORD!!!

Courtney places 2nd with a new PR of 9:00.85 and secures her spot in the Diamond League Final.

RESULTS

The first Monaco Herculis EBS meeting took place in 1987 in the newly constructed Stade Louis II. The Monegasque  Federation of Athletics’ goal to promote this sport is supported by the Prince who holds sporting values close to his heart and wishes to grant the Principality the status of a “sporting center of great importance”. Prince Albert himself chairs the MFA since its creation.

Since its entry in 2010 in the IAAF Diamond League, Herculis has been greatly successful; indeed, it ranked World’s Best Meeting in 2011 and in 2014 thanks to outstanding athletic performances and in 2015 it achieved the best score ever!

Courtney will race the 3k Steeplechase at the 2018 edition at 1:35pm CT

What is the Diamond League?

dl_logo_footer.png

The IAAF Diamond League encompasses 32 Diamond disciplines, following a championship style model. Athletes earn points at qualification meets to qualify for the final of their event.

Each of the disciplines is staged six or four times before the Final. At each of the 12 qualification meetings, Athletes are awarded 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 or 1 points for ranking 1st to 8th respectively. The top 8 or 12 Athletes (depending on the discipline) will be awarded a start at the Final. In case of a tie, the best legal performance of the qualification phase wins.

The winner at the Final of each Diamond Discipline will become "IAAF Diamond League Champion".
